     عامل توپوگرافی مدل USLE به دلیل حساسیت بالای نتایج مدل نسبت به آن و نیز به دلیل پیچیدگی اثرات آن بر فرسایش خاک به عنوان یک فاکتور مهم در مدل مذکور شناخته می­شود. روش مور و ویلسون به عنوان یکی از روش­های پرکاربرد در محاسبه­ی عامل LS مدل­های کامپیوتری خانواده USLE با استفاده از مدل رقومی ارتفاع شناخته می­شود. این تحقیق با هدف تعیین مناسبترین ابعاد سلولی مدل رقومی ارتفاع در محدوده­ای به مساحت 7116 هکتار واقع در منطقه­ی رشکان در جنوب شهرستان ارومیه انجام شد. مدل­های رقومی ارتفاع با ابعاد 30، 50، 75، 100، 200 و 400 متر در محیط ArcGIS­10 ایجاد شده و مطابق با روش مور و ویلسون نقشه­ی رستری LS برای منطقه با استفاده از هر یک از مدل­های رقومی تهیه گردید. وابستگی مکانی متغیر LS با استفاده از تحلیل نیم­تغییر نما بررسی و ابعاد سلولی مناسب بر مبنای آن انتخاب شد. نتایج نشان داد که مدل کروی به خوبی قادر به تبیین تغییرات مکانی متغیر LS بوده و در مدل رقومی ارتفاع با ابعاد 75 متر دارای قوی­ترین ساختار وابستگی مکانی (523/0) و بیشترین ضریب تبیین (983/0) است. بنابراین در منطقه­ی مورد مطالعه ابعاد سلولی 75 متر به عنوان اندازه مناسب سلول به منظور محاسبه­ی متغیر LS پیشنهاد می­شود.
