در پژوهش حاضر، تاثیر تغییر اقلیم بر تغییر رواناب سطحی زرینه­رود واقع در دشت میاندوآب مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. در این راستا، سناریوهای A1B، A2 و B1 از طریق مدل ریزمقیاس­ نمایی LARS-WG و با به­ کاربردن مدل گردش عمومی جو HadCM3 و مدل شبکه عصبی مصنوعی در دو دوره زمانی مختلف (2065-2046، 2099-2080) مورد مطالعه قرار گرفتند. بدین­منظور بهترین ترکیب پارامترهای ورودی مدل شبکه عصبی مصنوعی MLP جهت برآورد رواناب از میان پارامترهای هواشناسی مختلف با تاخیر صفر و یک روز و پارامتر رواناب با تاخیر یک روز انتخاب گردید. سپس از داده ­های هواشناسی پیش ­بینی ­شده توسط مدل اقلیمی LARS-WG در سال­های آینده به­عنوان ورودی مدل شبکه عصبی منتخب استفاده شده و در ادامه رواناب پیش­ بینی گردید. نتایج ارزیابی داده­های مشاهداتی و شبیه ­سازی ­شده توسط مدل  LARS-WG با استفاده از شاخص­ های آماری و خطاسنجی مختلف بیانگر این است که اختلاف معنی­ داری بین مقادیر شبیه ­سازی شده و مشاهداتی وجود ندارد. تحلیل عملکرد مدل شبکه عصبی مصنوعی نیز حاکی از دقت خوب و مناسب این مدل در شبیه ­سازی تغییرات رواناب در حوضه مورد بررسی است. نتایج نشان داد که متوسط رواناب سالانه در دوره 2065-2046 نسبت به دوره پایه در حدود 4/62 متر مکعب بر ثانیه افزایش و در دوره 2099-2080 نسبت به دوره پایه در حدود 14/7 مترمکعب بر ثانیه کاهش خواهد یافت.
