    هدف این پژوهش شبیه‌ﺳﺎزی هم‌زﻣـﺎن کمیت و کیفیت رواناب در ﺣﻮزه زرﻳﻨﻪ‌رود با مدل SWAT بود. واسنجی و صحت‌سنجی مدل به‌روش SUFI2 در برنامه SWAT CUP با رواناب ماهانه سال‌های 2013-1992، برای 12 زیر حوزه و 226 واﺣﺪ ﻫﻴﺪروﻟﻮژﻳﻜﻲ و نیترات ماهانه سال‌های 2009-2006 صورت گرفت. نتایج بیان‌گر بیشترین حساسیت میزان رواناب به شماره منحنی خاک و کیفیت رواناب به هیدرولیز نیتروژن با کمینه Pvalue و بیشینه قدرمطلق Ttest بود. بیشترین مقادیر آماره‌های خطاسنجی برای واسنجی و صحت‌سنجی رواناب در ایستگاه سد زرینه‌رود 0/81=R2=NS، کمترین آن با 0/47=R2=NS در ایستگاه جان‌آقا و برای نیترات کل حوزه در واسنجی 0/58=R2، 0/51=NS و صحت‌سنجی 0/51=R2، 0/48=NS به‌دست آمد. نتایج آماری نشان داد که مدل SWAT کارایی مناسبی در شبیه‌سازی جریان ماهانه و بار نیترات در حوزه زرینه‌رود دارد. سپس شبیه‌سازی بهترین اقدامات مدیریتی توسط مدل انجام شد. شبیه‌سازی اجرای سه اقدام حفاظتی بندهای سنگی، خطوط کنتور و مالچ‌پاشی در کل حوزه، بیان‌گر کاهش 6/03 درصدی رواناب و 17/89 درصدی نیتروژن ورودی به دریاچه و افزایش 11/17 درصدی تغذیه آب زیرزمینی در اقدام خطوط کنتور به‌عنوان بهترین راه‌کار بود.
